Senior Clips of UCLA QB Commit Austin Burton

Oct. 10 -- Check out 2017 UCLA-committed quarterback Austin Burton in mid-senior season highlights...

Austin Burton, the No. 9 quarterback prospect in Florida, flipped his commitment from Boston College to UCLA in late August.

The one-time Massachusetts prep prospect plays at Winter Garden (Fla.) West Orange, and the 6-foot-3, 203-pound Burton sent his mid-season senior highlight tape to Scout (it is in the video player at the top of the page).

Burton plays out of the shot gun and he does a good job with pre-snap reads, which allows him to quickly find favorable matchups. He stands tall in the pocket, and the highlights begin with some wonderfully thrown deep passes in which the ball is thrown effortlessly and with great touch.

His comfort level in the offense shows with his quick decisions, and several times he looks off the safety before throwing the ball to the other side of the field. He also uses a pump fake well, although he does not always stride into his throws. He is very comfortable working the field outside of the numbers, and his accuracy on some of the back shoulder throws shows he is in sync with his receivers.

Burton also shows tremendous poise and is very calm running the offense.
