Senior Highlights of Four-Star DB and UCLA Target Elijah Hicks

Oct. 18 -- La Mirada (Calif.) defensive back Elijah Hicks was recently upgraded to four-star status and jumped in to the Scout 300 as well due to a big senior season. Here's a closer look at the talented athlete...

Evaluation Update:

Elijah Hicks is a player we liked a lot over the summer and he has made a nice jump in his game from his junior year. He's a bigger, faster, stronger athlete and you can tell he's playing with a ton of confidence right now.

Hicks has all the tools you're looking at in a next level corner. He's a strong, physical player with good short area quickness, can change direction, is fluid in his movement and has the top end speed to turn and run with opposing receivers.

He has very good ball skills, is strong in run support and plays with a lot of passion and energy. Hicks has also been impressive at receiver and in the return game this season and is easily among the best all around players in the region. He projects as a shutdown corner in college who could see the field early in college.

Recruiting Update:

Hicks has already visited Northwestern and will check out Notre Dame this weekend. The local schools,  UCLA  and  USC  have drawn the most buzz with Cal and Washington heavily involved here as well.
