Monty Rice has cut his list to Auburn, FSU, Georgia, Ole Miss, Tennessee and UCLA

Oct. 28 -- Monty Rice makes a lot of noise on the field with his play at linebacker, but off the field, he likes to stay quiet. The talented linebacker has cut his list of schools, so who still is in the running?

Evaluation notes:  Monty Rice is a 6-foot-2, 228 pound inside linebacker out of Madison (Ala.) James Clemens.  Rice is an explosive linebacker prospect who plays a physical brand of football. He has a solid inside linebacker frame and can be punishing upon contact because of his ability to accelerate and flat-out run in space. Dabbling on offense some, he has acquired good ball skills which make him more of a threat in pass defense, especially if he gets his hands on the football. Rice is aggressive more times than not, which along with the need to improve laterally may contribute to poor angles against the run at times.

Recruiting notes:  Rice has cut his list down to AuburnFlorida StateGeorgiaMississippiTennessee and UCLA.  He is set to take his first official visit this weekend to Florida State.  He said a decision could come at any time.
