Nov. 8 -- UCLA wide receivers coach Eric Yarber spoke about Kenny Walker's status for Oregon State, the rise of Jordan Lasley, his outlook for Theo Howard and more...

On Kenny Walker:

His health is pretty good and he should be back in the rotation.

On if he had to go through the concussion protocol:

Yes, yes he did. He practiced the whole practice today.

On if the receiver rotation has tightened:

It did tighten down today. It will probably consistently be 4-5 guys.

On Theo Howard's playing time:

He should see a lot of time this week. There wasn't an issue. A lot of guys, they dictate their playing time in practice and validate it in games. He's had two good weeks in practice, the game plan has tightened down a little so we feel good about putting him out there.

On Jordan Lasley:

I've seen a tremendous amount of growth in him. As a leader, trying to lead guys. He's trusting the process, doing all the little things, like right now, he's on the Juggs, he's doing extra film studying, lifting the guys up in practice, working hard and making plays. I've seen a lot of growth out of him.

On the edge that Lasley plays with:

He and Darren Andrews have a lot of fire. They play with a lot of passion and they care. If they can get the ball in their hands, they can help us win.

On helping the running game:

All the time, we harp that. In our room, we take pride in our blocking. In this game, we'll have to do a great job of getting to the safeties and not let the safeties in run support. If we can get that and get a crack at the line of scrimmage, the run game will be ok.

On developing the you-to-me factor with Mike Fafaul:

It seems like Darren and Lasley have a You-to-Me factor with Mike and he trusts and they have a little You-to-Me factor.
