UCLA Prospects In Games This Weekend - Week 11

Nov. 11 -- -- Check out where UCLA prospects will be playing this weekend throughout the country...

***Game of the Week:*** Portland (Ore.) Jesuit vs. Portland (Ore.) Madison

Jesuit is led by UCLA commit Jaxson Kirkland on the offensive line and Oregon verbal Demetrius Douglas in the secondary as well as 2018 Scout 300 ATH Trey Lowe, though Lowe is still out with a rib injury.  Madison has USC commit Daniel Green at middle linebacker and Hawaii receiver commit Isaia Mullen and they’re coached by Don Johnson Jr., the son of former UCLA defensive line coach Don Johnson. 

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei vs. Las Flores (Calif.) Tesoro

The Monarchs, the top seed in the CIF-SS D-I playoffs, have a ton of talent and a slew of prospects UCLA is recruiting, including Bruin commit Quentin Lake in the secondary.  Plus there are a number of other players the Bruins have offered in the 2018 and 2019 classes.  UCLA’s top in-state tackle prospect in 2018, four-star Tommy Brown, anchors the Monarchs’ offensive line while at receiver is 2018 four-stars Nikko Remigio and Amon-Ra St. Brown, who both have offers and 2019 prospect Horace McCoy. 

Corona (Calif.) Centennial vs. San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) JSerra

Centennial will be led by UCLA commit Jaylan Shaw in the secondary. Meanwhile, Tanner McKee, Centennial’s four-star 2018 quarterback, has started the year strong.  And the Huskies also have 2018 four-star receiver Manuel Allen, who UCLA is watching early on.  

Redlands (Calif.) East Valley vs. Temecula (Calif.) Great Oak

UCLA’s five-star defensive end commit Jaelan Phillips tries to put REV in position to win their second state title in three years but first, they start the CIF-SS D-II playoffs with a home game against Demetric Felton’s old school, Great Oak.

Roseville (Calif.) vs. Vacaville (Calif.)

UCLA tight end commit Jimmy Jaggers begin their quest for a CIF-SacJoaquin Section title with a home game against Vacaville. 

Chaffey (Calif.) College vs. Los Angeles (Calif.) Harbor

UCLA commit Ronald Rudd and Chaffey take on Harbor in their final game of the season..

Chatsworth (Calif.) Sierra Canyon vs. Lakewood (Calif.)

UCLA commit Kanan Ray and Sierra Canyon open the CIF-SS D-IV playoffs with a home game against Lakewood.

Calabasas (Calif.) vs. North Hollywood (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake

Calabasas is loaded, featuring UCLA target Darnay Holmes , the No. 1 cornerback in the 2017 class nationally, plus 2018 four-star corner Bookie Radley-Hiles as well as a pair of Nebraska commits in quarterback Tristan Gebbia and receiver Keyshawn Johnson. Plus they have 2020 receiver Johnny Wilson, who was offered by UCLA after Jim Mora saw him in person late last month. And they also have 2018 outside linebacker Reggie Hughes, who was offered by UCLA on Thursday. They’ll begin the playoffs aiming for their second straight CIF-SS title. 

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly vs. West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade

Poly has UCLA recruits Cam McDonald (2018) at tight end and safety Josh Talbott (2017).  Chaminade has key 2018 Bruin target T.J. Pledger at running back, 2018 three-star receiver Michael Wilson as well as 2018 four-star quarterback Brevin White.  Defensively, UCLA has offered defensive lineman Mykee Irving. 

Murrieta (Calif.) Valley vs. Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure

Murrieta Valley has two Power 5 receivers in Colorado commit Maurice Bell and 2018 four-star Marquis Spiker, who UCLA just offered last month and 2019 four-star quarterback Hank Bachmeier. St. Bonaventure has 2017 three-star lineman Casey Roddick and 2018 running back Chuck Wick. 

Mission Viejo (Calif.) vs. Anaheim (Calif.) Servite

The Diablos have UCLA target Olaijah Griffin, the four-star 2018 cornerback, in their secondary and they take on Colorado commit Tyler Lytle and Washington commit Keith Taylor for Servite. 

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) vs. Orange (Calif.) Lutheran

There will be Pac-12 DB’s all over this game, with Oregon commit but still a target for UCLA, Jaylon Redd and his four-star teammate Thomas Graham going against Washington commit Brandon McKinney. 

Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt vs. San Jacinto (Calif.)

Roosevelt has 2018 receiver target Chase Williams, a four-star who was offered at the Bruin Elite Camp, to lead their offense plus 2017 linebacker Richard Cage, who is on the Bruins linebacker board.

Antioch (Calif.) vs. Danville (Calif.) San Ramon Valley

Antioch features UCLA running back recruit Najee Harris, the No. 1 player in the country, who UCLA is still trying with.

Los Angeles (Calif.) Salesian vs. Santa Barbara (Calif.) Bishop Diego

UCLA’s first commit to the 2017 class was Salesian linebacker Rahyme Johnson, and while he decommitted, the Bruins are back recruiting him and he and teammate Deommodore Lenoir, a commit to Oregon.

Los Angeles (Calif.) vs. Chatsworth (Calif.)

Los Angeles and 2017 four-star defensive tackle and UCLA recruit Martin Andrus meet Chatsworth in the City Section playoff opener 

Los Angeles (Calif.) Hawkins vs. Reseda (Calif.) Cleveland

Hawkins, with UCLA receiver targets Joseph Lewis, Jalen Hall and Eric Fuller try to win their first ever City Section title.

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey vs. South Gate (Calif.) South East

Dorsey features the top prospect in the West in 2019 in Kayvon Thibodeaux from Dorsey and 2019 running back Charles Mincy. 

Buena Park (Calif.) vs. San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) San Juan Hills

UCLA targets Elijah Gates, a 2017 four-star cornerback and Devon Cooley, a 2018 four-star receiver, begin the CIF playoffs against San Juan Hills.

Kahuku (Hawaii) vs. Kapolei (HawaiI)

UCLA defensive end recruit Aliki Vimahi and his Red Raider team, coached by former Bruin Vae Tata, meet Kapolei in the Hawaii state playoffs.

Byes:

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle and UCLA 2018 four-star defensive tackle target Tuli Letuligasenoa have a playoff bye as do Concord (Calif.) Clayton Valley and offensive lineman Jalen McKenzie. 2018 four-star safety Isaac Taylor and San Diego (Calif.) St. Augustine have a first round bye. 

Thursday Results:

Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman and UCLA recruits Bubba Bolden, Palaie Gaotaote, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Brevin Jordan defeated Las Vegas (Nev.) Palo Verde, 59-0. Oceanside (Calif.) El Camino and 2018 running back Chris Brown lost San Diego (Calif.) Point Loma, 42-35.
