Opening statement:

We had a great day of practice. Guys came out ready to play. I thought it was one of our most physical practices of the season. I'm looking forward to Saturday night.

On if USC is their biggest challenge to date:

No question, they are a big, physical front. They use multiple formations and personnel groups. Their running backs are extremely high-level players. It will be a challenge on Saturday night.

On how USC has improved over the season:

Studying their film, a little more cohesive as the season went on. A little more consistency, getting the repetitions, they've gotten better. They are a very good group.

On focusing on physicality this week:

We always design our practices around what we'll see that week. USC has a certain style of offense and we're getting our guys ready for that.
