On the return to the Bay Area:

I don't know. We lost 36-10. It didn't work out good.

On if he was antsy:

We had about three offsides. The ball was moving a little bit but in the Pac-12, they're not going to call that. We have to be more disciplined.

On how he's feeling right now:

It sucks we went 4-8, and we are not bowl eligible. It was a rough season, but I enjoyed my three years at UCLA and wouldn't trade it in for anything. It has been a blessing to be here. Coach Angus, Coach Mora, Coach Brick, Coach Tui, even the past ones who recruited me, I wouldn't be here without them.

On defense moving forward:

We have to find our ways to not let the team score. If the offense is struggling, we have to pick them up and we did not do that today. We let them put too many points on the board.

On the defense tailing off as the season went on:

I couldn't really tell you. We couldn't keep teams from scoring.

On his personal success and how teams reacted:

Teams started to game plan against me. It was rough but I have to still do my job.  There is no excuse to not ball out like I know it can.

On how it felt having teams game plan for him:

It feels good, but at the same time, I'm like, 'damn, for real?' Taking me out of the game. No excuses, I need to adjust to that.
