Nov. 27 -- Jim Mora announces that he has fired offensive coordinator Kennedy Polamalu, and we have a list of potential candidates for the position...

UCLA's Official Statement:

Offensive Coordinator/Running Backs Coach Kennedy Polamalu's contract will not be renewed, UCLA Head Football Coach Jim Mora announced today.

“I want to thank Kennedy for his hard work, dedication to the program and commitment to our student-athletes," said Mora.  "He is a professional in every sense of the word."

A comprehensive search to fill the position will begin immediately.

Bruin Report Online has heard some potential candidates would be:

Greg Knapp, longtime NFL offensive coordinator and current quarterbacks coach with the Denver Broncos.

Sterlin Gilbert, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Texas under Charlie Strong.

Mike Sanford, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Notre Dame.

Phil Longo, offensive coordinator at Sam Houston State

Steve Sarkisian, current offensive analyst at Alabama, former USC head coach

Cam Cameron, former NFL coach, former head coach at Indiana, most recently the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at LSU

These are just some names we've heard mentioned, but know that there will probably be plenty others also mentioned for the UCLA offensive coordinator job.

Other changes on the UCLA coaching staff are expected.
