UCLA Basketball Moves Up to No. 11 In Associated Press Poll

Nov. 28 -- After winning the DirecTV Wooden Legacy tournament, the UCLA men's basketball team jumped a few spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll released Monday...

UCLA is on the upswing with less than a week until its biggest non-conference game of the season.

The Bruins ascended three spots to No. 11 overall in the Associated Press Top 25 poll released Monday, leapfrogging both Arizona and Oregon to take over as the highest-ranked Pac-12 representative. The Wildcats fell from No. 8 to No. 16 and the Ducks dropped from No. 13 to No. 23.

True freshman Lonzo Ball guided UCLA to the DirecTV Wooden Legacy tournament title and was named the event's MVP on Sunday night. The Bruins are off to a 7-0 start, most recently eking out victories against Nebraska and Texas A&M after a relatively soft start to the schedule.

A big test looms Saturday at No. 1 Kentucky in a highly anticipated matchup that will be televised nationally on CBS. UCLA will have its final tune-up at Pauley Pavilion on Wednesday night against UC Riverside.
