Newbury Park (Calif.) 2018 defensive lineman Kamakani Crosby (6-4, 272) is back where he started.
After moving to Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure, Crosby returned to Newbury Park to play his senior year.
The three-star was at this month's U.S. Army Combine and was excited to be on a big stage.
"It was a blessing and a great honor being out there and putting in the work," said Crosby. "I'm striving to be better and that was the best place to be."
Crosby has an early offer from BYU and more schools are reaching out.
The Cougars, though, are in a good spot for him.
"I've already planned my BYU unofficial this spring," said Crosby. "Coach (Kalani) Sitake was who offered me and I've always been a fan of BYU. I've had family members that played there."
While Crosby is LDS, he doesn't have plans to serve a mission.
Aside from the Cougars, Crosby said three Pac-12 schools always stood out to him.
"Growing up, I always liked the West Coast schools so USC, Washington and UCLA, I always watched those three," said Crosby.
Crosby said that he'll play on the offensive line this year, but the defensive line is where his future is.
