Doyle plays a hybrid linebacker/safety position but probably projects best as a safety in college and that's where the Bruins offered him at. He's a physical player who can run and hit and plays with a nice edge to him.
"I talked with Coach Martin and he said they like me for safety," Doyle said. "I was really excited about the offer because it's a great opportunity to play for such a prestigious program that also happens to be right in my backyard.
"I was kind of surprised by it, I didn't see it coming. I camped with UCLA last summer so I had been in touch with them but didn't know they were close to offering. I'm definitely planning to visit UCLA again over the spring for a practice or a Junior Day."
In addition to the Bruins, Doyle has offers from programs all over the country including the Boston College Eagles, Hawaii Warriors, Nevada Wolf Pack, New Mexico Lobos, Northwestern Wildcats, Utah Utes and Washington State Cougars.
"Cal, Stanford and Louisville are a few other programs recruiting me hard right now," Doyle said. "I'm planning to do a lot of visits over the spring and summer. I want to check out USC, Stanford, Cal, Washington State, Northwestern, Purdue and Utah.
"I'm not planning to make an early decision, I want to play things out and enjoy the recruiting process. My early leaders right now would be UCLA, Northwestern, Utah and Washington State but like I said, I have no plans to commit any time soon."
