4-Star '19 Athlete Horace McCoy Planning Visits with Pac-12, SEC Schools

Mar. 1 -- Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei sophomore Horace "Bru" McCoy is already a national prospect and one of the most coveted sophomores in the nation...

Horace McCoy was one of the players we were most excited to see over the weekend but unfortunately, he fractured his collar bone and will be out of action for some time.

McCoym at about 6-3 and 205 as a sophomore, is a jumbo athlete who could end up at several different positions in college. He plays wide receiver and defensive end and could also play tight end or linebacker at the next level.

He's a big, athletic kid who can run and has a ton of ability. As a big receiver, he has strong hands, runs well and uses his size to box out smaller defenders. As a rush end, he can really get after the quarterback and although we know he loves offense, his upside might be highest as a defensive player. No matter where he lines up, he'll be on the short list for top overall player in the region when he's a senior.

On the recruiting front, McCoy has blown past the double digit offer mark and said he's planning to take several unofficial visits this spring/summer and mentioned AlabamaCalOregonTexas A&MUCLAUSC and Washington as potential destinations.

McCoy said he's also talking with MichiganNebraska and Ohio State and all but the Buckeyes have offered.
