UCLA Hoops Moves Up to No. 3 in Associated Press Top 25 Poll

Feb. 27 -- After its big victory Saturday night against rival Arizona, the UCLA men's basketball team jumped up a couple spots to No. 3 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll...

The conference rankings might not reflect it, but UCLA is once again the top Pac-12 team in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Bruins moved up to No. 3 overall Monday after its weekend sweep in the desert, capped by a big win against rival Arizona on Saturday night. That game was televised nationally on ESPN and it marked UCLA's third victory against a top-five opponent this season, with two of those coming on the road.

Gonzaga fell from No. 1 to No. 4 after losing its first game of the season. Kansas is the new No. 1 and reigning champion Villanova sits at No. 2 ahead of the Bruins.

Oregon and Arizona are No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, and currently share a lead atop the conference standings, with the Ducks holding the tiebreaker for a No. 1 seeding in the Pac-12 Tournament, which tips of Mar. 8 in Las Vegas.

UCLA returns to action Wednesday against Washington before its regular season finale Saturday against Washington State at Pauley Pavilion.
