Arizona Commit Jamarye Joiner Interested in UCLA

Feb. 28 -- UCLA drew a visit from three-star quarterback Jamarye Joiner last season and the Arizona commit from Vail (Ariz.) Cienega remains interested in the Bruins...

Jamarye Joiner could be considered one of the West region's top two-way talents given his ability to play quarterback, receiver and safety, and he certainly raised some eyebrows over the weekend in guiding Tucson Turf to the Pylon 7on7 national championship.

The three-star prospect from Vail (Ariz.) Cienega has tremendous athleticism, quick feet and the body control to go up for passes in traffic. At safety, Joiner was able to cover a ton of ground down field and also broke on the football on throws in front of him, demonstrating good instincts at the position though he's considered a bigger threat on the offensive side.

On the recruiting front, Joiner committed to Arizona last fall but told he's still keeping his ears open to other coaches and took a visit to see UCLA last season. He said he is also hearing from Arizona StateNebraskaOregonOregon State and Washington, with visits to Lincoln and Seattle appearing more likely at the moment.

Hear what Joiner had to say about the status of his commitment to the Wildcats, his interest in the Bruins and more at the Pylon 7on7 National Championships in the video above.
