Dorian Thompson-Robinson grabbed a couple more scholarship offers last week shortly after naming a top dozen, setting up what could be an interesting few months before he announces a college decision in the summer.
"With Georgia, I've been trying to get that offer for a while now," Thompson-Robinson said at the adidas 7v7 National Championship. "I've been admiring them since my freshman year so getting that offer is big. I've heard great things about them.
"With South Carolina, I was born there so it's about getting to go back home and check things out. North Carolina, I've built a great relationship with coach (Jon) Heck, and I really want to check that out, too, since I've been hearing a lot about it."
The 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect has a big visit to UCLA this Saturday and said he's excited to meet with a representative of the dentistry program on top of getting to see new offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch for the first time since he arrived from Michigan.
"I'm really just looking for the school part; not even thinking football," Thompson-Robinson said. "Coach Fisch being there is a really huge move for me and, having a good relationship with him, they've made me a top priority and a top quarterback recruit.
"I'm going to be going up there with Brevin (Jordan) and we're going to be going into our school and the stuff we want to study. It's going to be real big."
With Fisch now in Los Angeles, Thompson-Robinson said he would be interested to see Ann Arbor again and dive into the academic side of things.
"Really, it's like what I want to go see at UCLA, really the school part and stuff like that," Thompson-Robinson said.
Alabama could be another spring stop but Thompson-Robinson said it all depends on how his plans shape up.
"My mom kind of mentioned it to me about maybe trimming it down to a top five after taking these visits to UCLA and Michigan," Thompson-Robinson said.
