3-star RB Andrew Van Buren Likes Pac-12 Schools

March 27 -- West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade running back Andrew Van Buren has a handful of offers but a few Pac-12 schools are standing out...

West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade running back Andrew Van Buren is sitting on seven offers, with two from the Pac-12.

UCLA was his most recent offer and it was one he had been hoping to get.

"The offer from UCLA means a lot and I feel like I'm finally getting noticed more," said Van Buren.  "All of my hard work is paying off and I could stay close to home if I wanted to."

Van Buren said the Bruin offer came as a running back.

"Coach (DeShaun) Foster offered me and he offered me as a running back," said Van Buren.  "A lot of schools are recruiting me as an athlete, but UCLA and Boise State both said as a running back."

Van Buren, though, said he's open to either side.

"I'm open to playing on both sides of the ball and wherever I could help the team win," said Van Buren.

Van Buren has visited USC this spring and said when UCLA starts spring practice, he'll visit them.

He's hoping to see a couple of other schools this spring.

"I've talked about visit Arizona State and they could offer me," said Van Buren.  "And I'm planning to get out and visit Colorado and Boise State."

But he doesn't plan to rush into a decision.

"I'm going to take a lot of time with my decision," said Van Buren.
