West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade running back Andrew Van Buren is sitting on seven offers, with two from the Pac-12.
UCLA was his most recent offer and it was one he had been hoping to get.
"The offer from UCLA means a lot and I feel like I'm finally getting noticed more," said Van Buren. "All of my hard work is paying off and I could stay close to home if I wanted to."
Van Buren said the Bruin offer came as a running back.
"Coach (DeShaun) Foster offered me and he offered me as a running back," said Van Buren. "A lot of schools are recruiting me as an athlete, but UCLA and Boise State both said as a running back."
Van Buren, though, said he's open to either side.
"I'm open to playing on both sides of the ball and wherever I could help the team win," said Van Buren.
Van Buren has visited USC this spring and said when UCLA starts spring practice, he'll visit them.
He's hoping to see a couple of other schools this spring.
But he doesn't plan to rush into a decision.
"I'm going to take a lot of time with my decision," said Van Buren.
