Local Four-star Athlete Bryan Addison Set to Visit UCLA Next Month

Mar. 28 -- Local four-star safety Bryan Addison has been hearing the recruiting pitch from UCLA defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin and is set to visit campus next month...

Safety is a major position of emphasis for UCLA in the 2018 class and there are several local options that defensive backs coach Demetrice Martin has on his recruiting board.

Four-star prospect Bryan Addison of Gardena (Calif.) Serra is one of those recruits and, though his name has gone national in recent weeks, he intends to give the Bruins a close look in the coming months.

"I'll visit UCLA for their spring game," Addison said. "(Coach Martin) wants to use me as a long safety so I can use my ball skills and athleticism. That's pretty much it."

USC is another program to monitor, particularly given its ever-flowing pipeline at Serra. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound Addison said the Trojans view him as their next Marvell Tell in that secondary.

The likes of Arizona StateNebraskaOklahomaOregon and Utah have also joined the chase with offers. The Bruins will be looking to make an impression once Addison steps foot in Westwood.

"I haven't been to any UCLA games," Addison said. "I've been to campus when I was younger, but not anytime recently."
