On getting first team reps:

Absolutely, everyone wants to be the starter. I've got the job right now, I've got to keep running with it.

On what he's focused on this offseason:

Keep working hard, every day, coming out with the mindset to get better, never slow down, keep running with it.

On the difference in the offense:

Definitely a lot more variations, but somewhat the same, same footwork. Coach Fisch has a lot of different variations, studying the playbook and getting it on the field.

On their goals:

It's about coming out here and working hard, prepare as well as we can, as we're on the field, have no doubts.

On holding on to the starting role:

It's not about the role, it's about me working hard, do what I need to do to be the best player I can.

On how he's gotten better in the offseason:

I feel like I've gotten more explosive, more strong. I've gotten leaner. It's not about being the best I can right now, it's about continuing to be the best I can.

On working with new running backs coach DeShaun Foster:

A lot of fun, he's a legend here and in the NFL. I enjoy every day, it's a fun day, it's a work day.

On if he's watched any of Jedd Fisch's offense from previous stops:

A little bit, they've showed us a lot of NFL plays, and we've seen some things he did at Michigan but I'm focused on what we'll do here.
