Graham (Wash.) Kapowsin 2019 quarterback Dylan Morris is one of the top quarterbacks in the West in his class, and for the second straight year, Morris has earned an invitation to the Northwest 9, a prestigious camp in the greater Seattle area, featuring the top quarterbacks in the region, regardless of class.
Morris, in fact, was the top performer last year, in the leadup to his sophomore year.
Now with two prep seasons under his belt, Morris will return to the Northwest 9 following a good showing at the regional tryout on Sunday.
"It’s a great honor," said Morris. "Being with these coaches and building a relationship with these coaches, coming out and competing, it’s a really great experience with the Washington guys. I think the most enjoyable part is its home too. I'm not having to travel too far. And we're all friends and competing with the Northwest 9."
Morris has been on UCLA's radar since last summer, when Marques Tuiasosopo first checked him out.
"Coach (Jedd) Fisch is recruiting me now for UCLA," said Morris.
Morris has also been playing baseball this spring, so he hasn't had a chance to get out to many schools during this time, but plans to in the summer.
"I'm trying to get to a Washington practice and to Washington State too," said Morris. "I'm going out to Nebraska in the summer time and then in June, I'm going to USC and UCLA for their camps."
Morris plans to throw at The Opening Oakland next month and could make some visits when he's down there.
"I'm going to maybe visit Cal and Stanford when I'm down there," said Morris.
