Los Alamitos (Calif.) linebacker Issaiah Johnson holds five offers but is prepping for what he hopes is a big spring eval period.
And the Rams are doing well for Johnson.
“Colorado State is standing out to me the most,” said Johnson. “And Arizona. Coach (Rich) Rodriguez from Arizona is recruiting me.”
“Some other schools that have been recruiting me are Oregon, Oregon State, Arizona State, Washington State, Washington, UCLA, Colorado, USC, Virginia, Utah State, Cal, Northern Arizona, Pennsylvania, Princeton, Wyoming, Sacramento State, Yale, Boston College and Fresno State.
While he watched Oregon the most growing up, Johnson said he never had one school as a dream school.
“Growing up, I always liked all the colleges, but I’d say Oregon and Florida State more,” said Johnson. “But I didn’t have a dream school.”
A versatile ‘backer, Johnson said he could play any spot.
“Most schools are recruiting me more for inside linebacker but they tell me they’d move me around to each linebacker spot,” said the 6-2, 220-pounder.
During the summer, Johnson said he plans to hit a number of college camps.
