Concord (Calif.) De La Salle 2019 defensive lineman Beaux Tagaloa continued his spring of seeing Pac-12 schools, with a trip down to the Southland.
"The unofficial to UCLA was very nice," said Tagaloa. "The surroundings and community were great and the staff was very welcoming."
The coaching staff left an impression on Tagaloa.
"The thing that stood out the most were the coaches and their energy and just how they were very welcoming," said Tagaloa. "Also, the community stood out to me."
Tagaloa met with a number of Bruin coaches.
"We met with Coach (Angus) McClure, Coach (Jim) More and Coach (Scott) White," said Tagaloa. "They're all very great coaches."
The highlight, though, was spending time with his older brother.
"It was very cool, just being able to see my brother excel at that level, it was definitely a blessing to see," said Tagaloa. "Also, it was nice being able to talk to him about it and how it is at this type of level."
Tagaloa said UCLA wil be watching him closely.
"They said they will definitely keep in touch and we'll discuss (an offer) next time we each other," said Tagaloa. "They said they look forward to coming out sometime soon in the season to watch."
After he visited UCLA, Tagaloa went over to visit USC.
"The visit to USC was also nice," said Tagaloa. "USC has a very nice campus."
Tagaloa spent time with defensive line coach Kenechi Udeze and enjoyed their conversations.
"I think the thing that stood out the most was probably Coach KU and his background and attitude towards us," said Tagaloa. "He was very welcoming and positive."
Tagaloa also met USC head coach Clay Helton.
"We met with Coach KU and Coach Helton and they're both very great coaches," said Tagaloa.
"I don't have any for sure plans about visiting anywhere else," said Tagaloa.
