NaNa Osafo-Mensah emerged this semester as one of the state of Texas' top 2019 prospects and has garnered a flurry of big offers.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pound standout from Nolan Catholic in Fort Worth, Texas, fits the edge defender role, likely best as a 3-4 outside linebacker, but possesses good athleticism and frame potential and could provide scheme- and position-versatility.

Osafo-Mensah got his latest offer Monday from Houston. He's also pulled in offers from OklahomaNebraskaUCLA, and USC since mid-April. In fact, Osafo-Mensah garnered his UCLA and USC offers while visiting Southern California on April 14-15.

"I just really love UCLA," said Osafo-Mensah, who was in fact born at the UCLA Medical Center.

Osafo-Mensah said he thoroughly enjoyed his visit to Westwood. He spent time with head coach Jim Mora and other staff members. He said he does not have any set plans, but hopes to return to UCLA for another visit in the near future.

Osafo-Mensah said another West Coast program will see him next.

"In June, I'll be going to Stanford," Osafo-Mensah said. "I just want to see the area, really, because that's where my dad went to school. He always tells me about how beautiful the scenery is, so I'm really interested in seeing that. And then just meeting with the coaches there."

Stanford has not yet offered Osafo-Mensah, but he feels good about his chances of landing an offer in the future.

Playing in Texas with offers from coast to coast and connections to California, Osafo-Mensah said location will probably not be a deciding factor for him.

"I don't think location really matters to me. Just depending on where I feel I can fit in and do the best," Osafo-Mensah said. "I'm really looking for a school that, if football doesn't work out for me, I'll be able to get a great education."
