Four-star Safety Stephan Blaylock Breaks Down UCLA Commitment

May 5 -- Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco defensive back Stephan Blaylock announced moments ago he'll play his college ball at UCLA...

The UCLA Bruins picked up a commitment from one of the top safeties in the region as Stephan Blaylock announced his pledge moments ago.

Blaylock has been a big UCLA lean ever since he received the offer from the Bruins last October. He built a strong relationship with UCLA DB coach Demetrice Martin and said his comfort level on campus was too much to pass up.

Blaylock is a very talented safety who plays with tremendous toughness and grit. He's a physical player who loves to hit and has a nice edge to his game. He's very good playing in space, has improved his athleticism over the last year and looks much more comfortable making a play on the ball in deep coverage as well.

Blaylock took two visits to Oregon last month and the Ducks made a big push. Nebraska was also involved and those were his final three but UCLA was able to win out and add their third safety in the 2018 class.

We caught up with Blaylock on Thursday to get his thoughts on his commitment and all the reasons he chose the Bruins.
