The 7'2' 2018 Center Bol Bol on UCLA, Recruitment

May 14, EMERSON, Ga. - The five-star center, Bol Bol, continued his terrific spring last weekend at the Nike EYBL, proving why he's one of the top prospects in the 2018 class. He talked with us about developments in his recruitment...

Bol Bol entered the spring as one of the top prospects in the 2018 class – ranked 13th overall – but his play on the Nike EYBL circuit has only taken his stock to the next level.

The 7-foot-2, 220-pound center from Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei has been outstanding for Cal Supreme this spring, using his elite size and length to defend the rim and rebound, while scoring inside and out.

“I’m just playing my game,” Bol said.

Recruiting is picking up quickly for the five-star center, who recently picked up offers from Kentucky and UCLA, amongst others.

The Wildcats and Bruins joins schools such as Arizona and USC which have Bol has named as some of the programs on him the hardest.

The rising senior broke down what stands out about each program.

Kentucky: “At first I didn’t believe (they offered). It was kind of surreal. I know they’re always good every year and everyone who goes there goes to the NBA.”

UCLA: “I love the school. The (campus) is good.”

USC: “I took a visit there. It was pretty good. I liked it. I have a pretty good relationship with the coaches; they came to my school and visited me.”

Arizona: “I’m supposed to take a visit there soon but don’t know for sure when. The coaches stay on me and talk to me a lot.”

Bol maintains that he’s not close to a decision.

“I’m just taking my time and focusing on school,” he said. “I’m pretty far away.”
