The Opening Oakland: Who Got Open?

Scout takes a look at who got open at The Opening Oakland and punched their golden ticket to The Opening Finals in Oregon this summer...

The Opening Finals Invites

DB Stephan Blaylock, Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco

The No. 4 safety in the West and a commit to UCLA, Blaylock joined his fellow Bosco safety Jaiden Woodbey, to give the Braves a finalist at The Opening for the seventh straight year, the longest of any school in the country.

DB Jevon Holland, Oakland (Calif.) Bishop O'Dowd

The No. 5 athlete in the West, Holland, an Oregon commit, punched his ticket to the Finals after a strong showing in his backyard.

LB Brandon Kaho, Reno (Nev.)

Kaho, a Scout 300 member, was the SPARQ MVP with the highest rating on the day, a 124.7.  The commit to BYU is the first Reno native to ever earn a spot in The Opening Finals.

OT Penei Sewell, St. George (Utah) Desert Hills

The West's No. 1 offensive lineman and a four-star tackle, Sewell followed up a solid showing in Los Angeles with another strong performance in Oakland to land his invite to the Finals.

DB Steve Stephens, Fresno (Calif.) Edison

The No. 1 safety in the West, Stephens, a commit to Oregon, continued his torrid spring by earning an invite to Beaverton, joining fellow Holland as Oregon commits headed to their future state.

DB Chase Williams, Corona (Calif.) Roosevelt

One of the best athletes in the West, the four-star Nebraska commit was the DB MVP and that helped him score an invitation to the Finals.
