Oceanside (Calif.) El Camino running back Chris Brown made the most out of his time in the Bay Area.
The four-star worked out on Sunday at The Opening Oakland.
The day before, he visited California, one of the schools standing out to him.
"Coach Beau Baldwin is recruiting me," said Brown. "He's the offensive coordinator and he's kind of the running back coach, so he's a mixture but he's the main one recruiting me."
"Utah, Cal, UCLA and San Diego State, those all still stand out the most to me," said Brown.
"Most of my offers are on offense, but some schools see me as a linebacker, so it's turning into a mixture of positions," said Brown. "However I can help the college I pick, if that's at linebacker or running back, I'll help at either."
The ones standing out, though, like Brown as a running back.
"Utah had three coaches come by to visit my school this spring," said Brown. "Coach (Troy) Taylor, Coach (Fred) Whittingham and Coach (Kiel) McDonald. I visited Utah for their spring game with Jack Tuttle and it was a really cool place. They improve every year and they like a running back who can do all things."
San Diego State also had the local product on campus.
"They just had the all-time leading rusher, Donnell Pumphrey there, so they like to run the ball," said Brown. "I'm open to any school, big or small, so I'm definitely open to San Diego State. It's close to home."
UCLA was the first school to offer Brown and he was at their Spring Game last month as well.
"I went up for their spring game and got to watch them up close," said Brown. "Coach (DeShaun) Foster and Coach (Scott) White are recruiting me there."
White will be back on the El Camino campus on Friday to watch Brown work out.
Two of his close friends, Tuttle and Kyle Philips, committed to Utah and UCLA respectively.
As such, both are trying to recruit Brown.
"Oh yeah, they're both saying stuff to me, texting me, saying come to Utah, come to UCLA," said Brown.
Brown, though, won't be choosing any school for a while.
"I know I want to take all five official visits, so I won't decide until then," said Brown.
