Big Weekend for UCLA Hoops Recruiting

May 30 -- With some big shoe camps in the Los Angeles area over the weekend, UCLA had a flurry of unofficial visitors on campus, and some UCLA scholarship offers went out...

The two biggest event in AAU basketball were in the Los Angeles area this weekend, and UCLA benefitted with some unofficial visits.

The Nike EYBL (their rotation AAU league) was in Thousand Oaks, and the Under Armour Association (UA's AAU league) was in Garden Grove.

Some of the 2018 recruits we've confirmed unofficially visited UCLA as a result are:

Moore was offered a scholarship during his visit. Moore is an athletic, high-scoring big wing with offers from most of the programs in the Southeast.

UCLA has been on Reddish, Smart, Weaver and Quinerly.  Handicapping the recruitments of such elite prospects, this early, is a bit dubious, Scout's Evan Daniels said, "Most of these kids haven't really dug in on their recruitments yet or narrowed down things."

UCLA also had, or will, receive some visits from elite 2019 recruits:

Brooks visited Monday and received a UCLA offer. Baker will visit Wednesday.
