Nikko Remigio is one of the elite receivers out West and has looked very good this off-season.
Remigio is both quick and fast, has a nice burst to his game and runs well after the catch. He's a sure handed pass catcher, very dependable and can stretch the field as well.
On the recruiting front, Remigio has trimmed his list to five and will make his decision on Friday.
"I'm down to Cal, Tennessee, Wisconsin, Nebraska and UCLA," Remigio said. "I'm going to tweet it out on Friday, I'm ready and I'm comfortable with my decision. I wanted to commit in the summer so I can just focus on school and football as a senior without having to worry about recruiting.
"The recruiting process is fun but at times, can consume you. Sometimes a recruit can get so caught up in it, they forget who they are. I'm looking forward to putting this behind him and turning my focus to Mater Dei football and helping us have a great season."
Remigio just visited Cal over the weekend and landed an offer from the Bears.
"I visited Cal last year but that was with the old staff," Remigio said. "This time, I got to meet the new staff and really like them a lot. I had a great experience out there and really connected well with them."
Remigio has yet to visit Nebraska or Wisconsin but has been to Tennessee and has visited UCLA multiple times. It's tough to see the talented receiver choosing a school he has yet to visit and we haven't heard much buzz between him and the Vols. That could make this one an in-state battle and the Bears have some momentum coming off the weekend visit.
BRO EDITOR'S NOTE: UCLA hasn't been recruiting Remigio aggressively, and we doubt that he'd commit to UCLA, or that UCLA would even accept his commitment.
