Tanner McKee, QB, Corona (Calif.) Centennial

Evaluation Notes:

McKee started off the week strong in the Elite 11 portion of the event, being one of the top five passers through the first couple of days.

Then, he took Sunday off from doing any workouts because of his LDS faith, and didn't participate in the first day of the Nike 7on.

He returned on Monday for the tournament part of the Nike 7on and was on fire from the get-go.  In fact, he led touchdown drives on his first five drives of the day.

McKee can make all the throws and is a pure all-around passer.  He's got a high football IQ, with tremendous touch and accuracy.

The four-star can also make plays with his legs when the pads are on, but this event was all about the arm and he showed he's one of the premier quarterbacks in this class.

Recruiting Notes:

McKee won't enroll on a college campus until 2020, since he plans to serve his LDS mission right out of high school, so he's not in a rush to make a decision.  Also, if he signs a National Letter of Intent in February it will be null and void by the time he's recruited again in two years. Right now, Alabama, BYU, Texas and Washington are getting a lot of attention for official visits while the two Los Angeles schools, UCLA and USC also remain in the mix.
