Texas DL Knows Visits, Leaders

The prospect from Texas, Cyril Obiozor, who is the #20 defensive end in the country by TheInsiders.com, is concentrating on his high school playoffs, but he has a strong four favorites, and alludes to which is his #1...

With a 9-1 record, Pearland (Texas) High is poised to do some damage in the Texas state playoffs. Anchoring Pearland is defensive lineman Cyril Obiozor (6-3, 240). And because his priorities are resting with Pearland, Obiozor is putting his recruiting visits on hold until after the state playoffs are done.

"I have two visits set up, and two other schools I am going to visit," said Obiozor. "We play Friday, for what we expect to be a good run in the playoffs. After that, I'll worry about my trips."

Obiozor has a visit to Oklahoma State set up for December 5th, and the following weekend he will go to College Station and visit Texas A&M.

Kansas State and UCLA will get the other two visits, though the dates haven't been set on those two just yet.

"I know I will for sure be visiting Oklahoma State and Texas A&M in December. Kansas State and UCLA will be later, maybe in January," said Obiozor.

Obizor said the four schools he will visit are his top four, and still maintains his top two as UCLA and Oklahoma State. "UCLA and Oklahoma State are my top two, in that order, and then there is Texas A&M and Kansas State. That's probably it," said Obizor. He will take all his visits before deciding.

Obizor has led a strong defensive front for Pearland and thinks they have the makings of a state champion team. "I like our chances. We have had a pretty good season and we expect to have a good playoff," said Obiozor.

The defensive end has a 3.1 GPA and scored a 1000 on his SAT, fully qualifying him for college.
