Quarterback Returns from UCLA

Elite 11 quarterback Chase Patton from Columbia, Missouri, took his first official visit this past weekend, to UCLA, and talked about his "great experience"...

Quarterback UCLA for the first of five official visits.

"What a great experience," Patton said of his visit. "I had been there before but this was different. Everything was so nice. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and we were constantly doing stuff. I got to hang around the guys and I saw the inside scoop as they got ready for their game. I had great meeting with the coaches. We talked over breakfast and dinner. It was nice because I really got in-depth with them about their offense. Like I said, it was an overall great experience."

Patton had a super senior season. They didn't make the playoffs but he did lead his team to an 8-2 record. Patton was 179/279 (64%) for 2,622 yards and 30 touchdown passes.

That was his second visit to UCLA. He spent three days there following the Elite 11 quarterback camp in July. This weekend, Patton will officially visit Kansas State (12-19). Patton will have all five official visits completed before Christmas. Should we expect a decision then?

"I don't know. I planned it this way so I could take the Christmas break to think about it. UCLA was a great start because now I have a great experience to compare the other visits too."

Patton has taken unofficial visits to Tennessee (this summer), Iowa (this season), Missouri (this season) and K-State (last season).

"Everything is exciting now with recruiting but I am very tired after that visit."

Patton, 6-4.5 and 200 pounds, is a member of TheInsiders.com National Hot 100 and the No. 13 rated signal caller in the country.
