"UCLA is my favorite," Ioane said. "I haven't committed yet, though. They haven't offered yet, but I think they will once they get my quarter transcripts."
Ioane said while he could commit when offered, he would like to take his trips. "I want to see what else is out there just to make sure," said Ioane.
One guy doing recruiting for UCLA is Bruin offensive line commit Shannon Tevaga, who is close with Ioane. "I talk to Shannon all the time and he is trying to get me to go with him. He says we can play together on the line next to each other," said Ioane.
The Tillers stayed alive in the first round of CIF last weekend, stopping a 2-point conversion to advance to the quarterfinals. "We think we have a shot to win. Our team is tough," said Ioane.
Ioane will play in the CaliFlorida Bowl.
He said he scored an 1170 on his SAT and his grades continue to improve.
