"It was nice getting to know their QB coach (John Pettas) more. He's a good guy and you could tell he really cares about his players. He said their offense would fit my skills because they are balanced.
"They took us out to a lot of restaurants. The Met Grill in Seattle was the best. I had a 64 ounce porterhouse steak. It was huge. That place was the best.
"I'm not a lock for Washington because of my family--like everyone says I am. And I don't feel pressure to choose the Huskies.
"I still can't decide decide between Washington, UCLA and USC. USC isn't recruiting me as hard as the other two are, though. But I'd say they are still in the picture. Still, I might not end up setting a trip with them. They talked to me last week and said they would call me to set up a trip. But they didn't say when and I don't know.
"Coach Axman (UCLA) was in my house tonight (12/8). I guess UCLA had two QBs transfer but I don't think that affects me because they are still bringing in top guys. And anyway, playing early for me is not gonna be a factor. It's not important to me.
"My visit to UCLA (11/14) was different because that was during the season and they were playing a game when I was there.
"I won't decide until I take all my trips."
So, if Trojan coaches don't get in touch with Matt to set up an official visit, he may be closer to a decision than a lot of people think.
