David Beall, 6-5 295, Vancouver (Wash.) Mountain View, has set up the four official visits he intends to take before making his decision.
Beall will visit Washington December 1st, UCLA December 8th, Oregon State January 5th, and Stanford January 12th.
"It's between those four schools," Beall said. "I'll take the visits and then make my decision. I don't know how long after the visits it will take to decide, though."
Beall said that Stanford is currently his leader, followed probably by UCLA and Washington in a tie for second at this point. He said that his visits will be the biggest determining factor in which school he wants to attend, though. "Right now, Stanford is the leader, but who's to say what I'm going to think when I'm done visiting. That's why I want to take my visits, find out what they all have to offer, and then I'll know more."
Beall said he's visited Stanford, Washington and UCLA unofficially before. He had been to UCLA's football camp the summer before his junior year and said he was very comfortable with the campus.
Beall also talked about different aspects of each school and its recruitment of him. "Stanford is a great academic school with a pretty decent football program. I met all their coaching staff, which is a plus. Washington, I'd be close to home. Like I would be at Oregon State. Family and friends could watch me play, and I have friends who play at Washington so we could play together. UCLA, they've really been picking up their recruitment lately. [Offensive line] Coach [Mark] Weber came to watch me play a couple of weeks ago. UCLA is a great school with a great program."
Beall said he has a 3.9 GPA and scored a 1270 on his SAT.
