Bruins Land First Commitment for 2005

UCLA goes outside the state to get its first commitment for the 2005 recruiting class, at a position of need...

UCLA got off to a good start for its 2005 recruiting class when it received a verbal commitment from Denver (Colo) Mullen, offensive lineman Jesse White, 6-3, 285.

"Yes, Jesse committed today to UCLA," said his mother. "He is out back working out in the gym, but he will call you back and tell you all the details."

White is considered by some to be the top junior in Colorado and has strong, athletic bloodlines.

White has run a reported 4.79 forty, and is a strong, quick linemen. He was named all-state in Colorado as a junior. He comes from the same prep program as former Bruin receiver Jon Dubravac (1998-2002).

His father, Leon, is a former NFL player and also played football at Colorado, but is known now for his professional wrestling accolades as the wrestler, "Vader."
