JR OL Prospect Devin Head

An offensive line prospect to watch is 6-4, 270-pound Devin Head from Corona (Calif.) Centennial. The pancake-blocker has an early list of favorites, and UCLA sits prominently on that list...

Devin Head, 6-4, 270, Corona (Calif.) Centennial, was a first team all-league lineman as a junior. He led his team in pancake blocks and teams with junior Irvin Stevens to form one of the better offensive lines in California this year.

Head said really likes the UCLA program.

"Growing up I was always a big fan of them," he said. "I think Coach Dorrell has done a good job there and I love their academics."

Head is also interested in Stanford, Cal, Colorado, and Oregon. He does not have a favorite.

He plans on attending spring practices at UCLA, Cal, Colorado and Stanford. Along with the UCLA camp, he will go to Oregon and CU's.

Devin prides himself on the pancake block.

"I love putting people on their backs. I give 100 percent every play and I am always trying to do more for my team."

Centennial Head Coach Matt Logan says of Head, "He is a good athlete and has really improved himself strength-wise over the last year. He has gotten a lot bigger and is a smart kid."

Devin carries a 3.16 core GPA and already scored a 1080 on his SAT. But he will take it again because he wants to reach the 11's or 12's. He is undeclared on a major.
