Stephen Elkins, 6-1, 250, Corona (Calif.) Centennial, had 64 tackles, four sacks, and four fumble recoveries as a junior. He was named his team's most improved player.

Stephen comes from an extremely talented senior-to-be squad at Centennial this year. He mans a couple different positions on the defense.

"I played nose guard and defensive end last year, but I will probably play middle linebacker in college," explained Elkins.

The schools he would like to play linebacker for include, Michigan, Washington, UCLA, Oregon State, and Penn.

He thinks the Bruins have something cooking. "I really like UCLA. They have great coaches and academics. I think they are going to be an eventual Pac Ten power with the program they are putting together."

Stephen prides his play on knowing the other teams' formations and figuring out where to go before the ball is snapped.

He will be attending the four-day Michigan and UCLA summer camps.

Elkins carries a 3.3 core GPA and already scored an 1170 on his SAT. He would like to major in Engineering or Business.
