Boateng, a native of England, really earned his reputation last summer when, at the Nike Camp, most scouts and college coaches saw him for the first time. He has a very long, strong body, with very good athleticism, with the ability to get off the floor quickly to rebound and block shots. His offense is still developing, but he has a good basic offensive feel. He missed half of his junior season with a foot injury, but college coaches are still in very hot pursuit of him.
In March, Boateng visited Michigan officially.
Now, according to the athletic director at St. Andrews, Boateng has plans to take his second official visit this month, this one to UCLA. He'll go west April 18th, during a time when his school isn't in session.
