UCLA is still the favorite for Sean Canfield, 6-4, 207, Carlsbad (Calif.) High, who is considered one of the top quarterback prospects in California.

But, another school is coming on strong.

"I'd say Notre Dame is showing me the most interest," said Canfield.

Sean favors the Bruins slightly over the Fighting Irish, and he also likes Washington, Nebraska, and Oregon State. Washington was the first school to call him and that happened two nights ago.

He will attend the UCLA Adidas Camp this Saturday. This summer he has plans to make it back to UCLA for the Bruins' one-day camp. Canfield will also travel to the Bob Johnson Camp in Mission Viejo June 13th, the Elite 11 tryouts in Las Vegas June 25-26th, and the Notre Dame camp June 28th-29th.

Sean threw for 1,800 yards as a junior with 14 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He completed 60 percent of his passes. Canfield was named first team all-league and third team all-state under-class.

He carries a 2.5 core GPA and took the SAT May 1st. Sean is not positive on a major, but is interested in Psychology.
