Texas LB Tyrell Graham

With one Big 12 offer, Texas linebacker Tyrell Graham is considered among the best at his position in his area. UCLA is recruiting him and he shares his opinion of the Bruins...

Tyrell Graham, 6-3, 210, Houston (Tex.) Yates, currently has written offers from Oklahoma State, Grambling State, and Houston. He had to sit out almost four games because of a broken wrist last year, but still managed 80 tackles and seven sacks. Tyrell was named first team all-district.

His top schools are Oklahoma State, UCLA, LSU, Nebraska, Kansas State, and Miami. "Oklahoma State is my favorite because they have offered," said Graham.

He went on to say that UCLA will be a co-favorite if they extend an offer. "Coach Eric Bieniemy tells me they really want me. I really like Los Angeles and California. I love the location of the program. UCLA is also the leader in all-time national championship rings for athletics. My conversations with Coach Bieniemy are like Father-Son discussions. He tells me that they are just waiting on my grades."

Tyrell's current SAT score is an 810, which is ten points shy of qualifying by NCAA standards, but he is taking it again in September.

He figures he has received around 20 phone calls this month and has had 30 schools come by his campus.

One of those schools was Nebraska and they are a school that is catching his eye. "I like their tradition and their high graduation rate."

Graham is not currently scheduled to attend any summer camps.

He gives his all on the field. "I give 100 percent on every play. I am hard-nosed and I expect to win every time out."

Tyrell would like to major in Electrical Engineering.
