UCLA Doing Well With D.C. Receiver

With six scholarship offers, 6-foot-2, 185-pound wide receiver prospect James McDonald from Washington, D.C. has two favorites and plans to come out west later in June...

Slowly but surely the offers have built up for Washington (D.C.) Dunbar wide receiver James McDonald (6-2, 185).

Ever since the first offer from Penn State came through, McDonald has seen a steady pace of tenders flow his way and that continued yesterday.

"I got a call from Kansas yesterday and they offered me," remarked McDonald, who says he also owns offers from Boston College, Connecticut, Kansas, Penn State, Pittsburgh, and UCLA.

With a decent-sized offer sheet, McDonald has begun to narrow things down. The 6-foot-2, 185-pounder has established a solid favorites list, with two teams heading the pack.

"I have a top five of UCLA, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Boston College and Maryland," stated McDonald. "If any two are my leaders it would be UCLA and Penn State. It's just something about them that attracts me to their schools."

Most of McDonald's camping schedule is up in the air with the only sure stop being UCLA's camp June 27th.
