Louisiana DL/OL Prospect Rudy Odum

After signing four Louisiana products last season, UCLA is back recruiting in the Bayou, this time going after DL/OL prospect Rudy Odum...

Louisiana was good to UCLA last season, sending four recruits on to Westwood. The Bayou State has another top prospect, who, while leaning towards staying in the South, the Bruins are trying with.

Mandeville (Louis.) Fontainebleau DL/OL Rudy Odum, 6-5, 265, is getting the full-court press from the Southern schools, but UCLA is the lone school in the West to get in touch with him.

His top five right now is SEC dominated: Auburn, Mississippi, LSU, South Carolina and then Oklahoma State.

"It's a lot of pressure to stay here, especially to play at LSU. But I'm looking to see what else is out there."

So would Odum leave the South to come out West?

"I don't know. It's kind of far. But I'm not closing the door on any options right now. UCLA has sent me some stuff and I'm going to take a look at them."

Eric Bieniemy is doing the recruiting of Odom.

As a junior, Odum had 65 tackles, 5 sacks and 23 quarterback hurries.

Odum is in no hurry to make a decision, but says it could happen any time.

He has a 2.4 GPA and had a qualifying score on his ACT.
