Lorenzo Booker, 5-11, 180, Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure, is still interested in UCLA, according to a source close to him.
Booker reportedly called UCLA this week and told the coaching staff he was still interested in UCLA and wanted them to continue to recruit him.
The source said that UCLA has some ground to make up, but it's still entirely possible that Booker could go to UCLA. UCLA had been Booker's childhood favorite and, after talking with the UCLA coaches this week, didn't want to drop UCLA from consideration, as reports indicated earlier this week.It was uncertain whether Booker will attend the UCLA/ASU game on Saturday.
-- Zach Latimer, LB, 6-2, 220, Aurora (Col.) Gateway, has arrived on campus for his official visit this weekend.
Latimer is a top ten national linebacker who, as recently as a couple of months ago, said UCLA was his leader, citing the good Southern California weather as a main factor.
Latimer is also discussing possibly playing basketball at UCLA, being a very good point guard in his own right who would probably be among the top ten in the west if he played basketball full-time.
Latimer's host for the weekend is freshman cornerback/quarterback/wide receiver Matt Ware.
-- Thomas Bachman, WR, 5-10, 180, Shreveport (Louis.) Evangel Christian, is expected to arrive on his official visit tomorrow, having to play in his high school playoff game tonight.
-- Schedule to come to the Arizona State game this weekend are recruits Winston Justice and Hershel Dennis from Long Beach Poly, Fred Matua from Los Angeles Banning, and nearly all of the local prospects that have committed to UCLA.
