The top D-tackle did say that his parents favor two schools. "They would like for me to go to BYU or UCLA because they like the education that those schools offer."
Although he is not positive he is taking his mission after high school yet, Russell does admit it's likely. "I am not 100 percent sure but I know my parents would like me to do it."
The second team all-CIF selection had 10 sacks last year. He says that Nebraska and Kansas State are recruiting the hardest.
Tialavea has not and will not attend any camps this summer due to basketball obligations. He says he played every position for Oceanside last year scoring nine points a game. He does not plan on playing b-ball in college.
Russell carries a 2.4 core GPA and recently received a score of 1070 on his SAT.
