Lineman Waits on Pac-10

Laupepa Letuli, an aggressive, 6-4 lineman from Torrance (Calif.) North, said he has one offer, but is waiting on offers from his three favorite schools in the Pac-10...

Laupepa Letuli, 6-4, 265, Torrance (Calif.) North, was one of the meanest O-lineman TheInsiders witnessed all summer. He was relentless when we saw him at the UCLA Adidas Camp. Letuli did not stop until the whistle blew and even then it was hard to get him to quit.

Laupepa has seen his recruiting interest pick-up and is now listing a top three. "I like UCLA, USC, and Oregon," said Letuli. "Those are my top schools. I am still pretty open, though."

He has a verbal offer from San Jose State and says that Oregon State is recruiting him the hardest. The Beavers, along with Washington State, Hawaii, and Cal round out his top seven.

In addition to the UCLA Adidas Camp, Laupepa attended the USC lineman camp this summer. He was very excited about the Trojans' program after being around it. "They have a very good program there. They obviously did very well this past season and look like they are going to be good for years to come. I also know Norm Chow pretty well. My Uncle is an NFL agent (Leo Goeas) so he has always known Norm and I have been around him a few times."

Letuli re-iterated what he likes about UCLA. "I have always liked them and my cousin's boyfriend (Asi Faoa) played there so I have been watching them for years."

The lack of offers for Laupepa is probably because he has yet to take either of his tests, but will do so (SAT) in October. He carries a 2.6 core GPA.

UCLA could also be considering Letuli as a defensive tackle.
