Small Forward Gee is Wide Open

The 6-6 athletic small forward from Florida, Alonzo Gee, is still wide open and hasn't narrowed down his list...

Alonzo Gee, 6-6 senior small forward from Palm Beach Gardens (Flor.) Dwyer, is still wide open at this point in his recruitment, he says.

"I'm just looking at a bunch of schools," Gee said. "I'm very open. I'm still just finding out who's interested in me, and then I'll probably cut it down to a top five."

Gee listed Alabama, Charlotte, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Maryland, UCLA and LSU among those on his list. "But there are more," he said.

As of now, he said he didn't have any in-home visits or official visits arranged. "I won't arrange the official visits until I know my top five. It's very hard to narrow it down, but I'll probably do it soon. And then I want to take all five of my visits."

One school that seems to have endeared itself is Charlotte. "Charlootte has been recruiting me the longest. I mean, it doesn't matter how late a school gets on me, but I appreciate them being there from the beginning."

Contemplating whether he could leave his area of the country for school, Gee said, "It doesn't really matter. I could leave the area. My parents, they just want what's best for me. I don't know how far I could go, though. UCLA, I don't know. That's far." Gee said he has a 2.7 GPA and will take the SAT this fall.
