David Beall Says No Leader

The offensive line prospect from Washington, David Beall, talks about his recruiting after his official visit to UCLA last weekend...

David Beall, 6-6, 300, Vancouver (Wash.) Mountain View, tripped to UCLA last weekend and said it was very fun.

"There were many highlights, but I have to say, the one place that sticks out in my mind was Lawry's," Beall said with a laugh. "The steak there was great."

It was Beall's second trip to Los Angeles, and he said he was really knocked out by the mid-December weather. "It was beautiful. It was 75 degrees, like summer weather here. It was a good trip all around."

Beall had said pretty consistently in the past that Stanford was his leader and that possibly Washington was second. When asked if the UCLA trip had affected his preferences, he said, "Right now, I really wouldn't say I have a leader. During visits, you see so much, it's pretty hard to talk about leaders. I want to take my visits and they I'll see where I stand after that."

Beall has already visited Washington, a trip he said was also "really great." He is scheduled to the officiall visit Oregon January 4th and Stanford January 11th. "I have one more visit I could take but I'm not going to use it. I'll decide from those four schools." He said, also, that he's pretty certain he'll wait and take all of his trips before he decides. "It's a big decision," he said. "I'll probably take some time after my last trip even before I decided. I want some time to think it over and make sure it's the right decision."

Beall said the only in-home visit he has scheduled this week is with UCLA tonight. "Coach Toledo and [offensive line] Coach Weber are coming to the house," Beall said.
