Quick Thursday Practice Update

Head Coach Karl Dorrell has his game face on after practice Thursday as he gives us a quick update on the status of some players, including Tab Perry...

Head Coach Karl Dorrell definitely had his game face on for the media after practice Thursday.

His first simple statement was: "Not much to say. We had a good practice. It's time to play now."

About the status of some players…

On Keith Carter: "He's fine to play. He practiced today and he looked fine. He'll get his limited number of plays in the game."

On Tim Warfield: "He has a small fracture in the bone just below his knee, I think it's the tibia. He'll be out several weeks."

On Kyle Morgan and Brigham Harwell: "They'll be going."

The Tab Perry situation is getting down to the wire. The NCAA doesn't operate on Saturday, so in theory the latest UCLA could find out whether Perry is cleared to play is Friday at 5:00 p.m. MST, or 3:00 p.m. PST, when the NCAA shut its doors.

Dorrell on Tab Perry: "We're leaving here (UCLA) at 1:45 tomorrow. We're hoping to have a decision made by then. If not the decision will be made by then. He can be ready to go, but if we haven't heard anything by tomorrow he can't play. We're prepared to go either way, whether we have him or not. Hopefully we'll have him. Again, it's out of our hands.

Maurice Drew and Derrick Williams will be the kick returners if Perry isn't cleared to play.
