2006 West Coast Rankings:
Power Forwards

James Keefe, Andreas Schreiber and Daniel Deane are three of the best power forwards in the west for 2006...

The 2006 West Coast power forward class looks a bit light at this point in time, but that could change as some of the players we have at center could develop into power forwards. Keefe is the easy choice as the top-ranked four man in the west. Keefe has the whole package -- great frame, good athlete, very good skills and a great work ethic. Look for Keefe to draw recruiting interest from elite programs around the country. Deane is a warrior who plays a physical style. He's got great shoulders and he's willing to use them. His outside shot shows signs of becoming a strength. Deane is hearing from numerous high major programs in the west. Schreiber just recently moved to the U.S. from Sweden. Originally from the U.S., he's been in Sweden since the age of two. He's got a very big upside. Great frame, very good skills and a nice feel for the game.

For now, we're only ranking these three prospects, as there's a big
gap to the rest of the group. Keep in mind, though, that it's still
very early and there will undoubtedly be major changes to these
rankings over the next year.

UCLA is hotly recruiting Keefe. The Bruins also are hard on Deane, and have a very good connection to Schreiber.
