UCLA's starting defensive tackle, who is still recovering from a knee injury, C.J. Niusulu, is suspended for the San Diego State game...

UCLA announced that junior defensive tackle C.J. Niusulu has been suspended and will not play against San Diego State this Saturday.

Niusulu, who is still trying to make his way back completely from athroscopic surgery Sept. 1, was suspended for "violating athletic department policy," according to UCLA. UCLA, because of Federal laws regarding student privacy, can't discuss the details of the suspension.

"C.J. made a mistake that affects not only him, but the entire team," said head coach Karl Dorrell.

Niusulu will be allowed to participate in other team activities, including practice, while serving his one-game suspension.
